UPDATED: New War Stationery twist

UPDATED:
I just did a search for my ingenious phrase, "peace is war," and found out I wasn't the first smarty to think of it. darn that stinks.

See, my previous design used the army slogan, "be all that you can be," this was okay, because my stationery design is sort of a social commentary, so it's all clear on the copyright front. However, "peace is war" is a social commentary already, and I'm not commenting on that. so, I guess I'm stuck with my original. oh well, it was fun being happily naive while it lasted.

Last night, while sleeping I thought of this great idea- "peace is war," I promptly scribbled it on my hand in my semi awake state to recall it this morning.

so now I need to know, which is better? "be all that you can be," or "peace is war?" I haven't worked out all the design kinks on the new one, so just focus on the slogan if you could.

This is what my Christmas looked like

I couldn't spend Christmas with my family because of work, so I spent it with this handsome creature-

How working retail ruined my shoe life

I used to waltz around in heels, most of the time wearing flats and changing on the bus; but working retail had doomed me to my most comfortable shoes at all times.

Tennis shoes and my most comfortable flats killed my feet after just 3 hours of standing. By the end of the day, my feet were swollen and aching so badly, I couldn’t relax.

My co-workers swore by Crocs, but I just couldn’t go there, that was surely shoe-hell.

Then I got my new schedule, which included 12 hour days. I gave in and went to a few shoe stores to check out the Crocs. I decided on a pair that was actually kinda cute, I didn’t care much for the back-strap, but I did what I had to do.

What a wake-up! I didn’t think about my feet anymore, when that’s all I could think about before. Why all flats can’t do this, I don’t know.

I then upgraded. As an investment in my working life, and myself, I ordered two pairs of great-looking crocs from the website.

They’re adorable in person, and I am never massaging, elevating and soaking my feet as I used to everyday. I wear the boots unfolded.

But it’s not quite a happy ending

I never want to wear heels anymore, and rarely choose other flats over my crocs! I have so many great shoes, but my feet are so used to the cushy lifestyle, they can’t go back!

it's been a while, hasn't it?

Hello readers,
forgive my absence. I've taken on a permanent position at ricky's and work in one of the largest locations, so I've been getting used to that. I also just got an internship with Marschallin+Sachs, which I am very excited about. I start next week!

My hair is now red, with a little bit of blue. Ricky's makes it impossible to leave my hair alone, being surrounded with so many products, and such a great discount. I had no desire to go red, until I was checking out a customer on the register, and he said that the blond wasn't doing anything for my skin tone, and that red would be fantastic. I couldn't stop thinking about it the rest of the day so I just did it. I actually never posted this picture which shows how it looked before the red-a added some subtle white and yellow. I've been trying to catch the sun in order to post the red it is now.

I'm trying to get better about updating!
