thanks for the kind words on my Coat of Arms!
Sunday, I'll be leaving for a ten day trip to my hometown of Houston, Texas. Because I didn't get to visit for the winter holidays, I'm going now and am so excited to see my much missed friends and family.
I still don't have any days off in the week between my tow jobs, hopefully Ricky's will hire some more people and give me another day off, besides the two I use to work at M+S.
I took my laptop in to do a data recovery, unfortunately in my case it would cost $600, and there's no guarantee anything would be recovered. that means my entire college career is lost, as well as the book I was working on. I'm most upset about the book, because I put a lot of work into it and was excited to eventually get it published. However, I realize there's no point in feeling sorry for myself- now it's time to start over and to do all new illustrations.
I hope everyone is well!

yeah new illustrations are good.
learn from this and never from now on live without an external harddrive and the weekly act of backing up.
i lost all my high school pictures due to ONE MONTH without an external. i have diligently kept an external since 2000, but when i got rid of my huge fan-propelled 6in by 4 in by 12 in 30GB one, i waited only 3 weeks to get a new one...
and in that time...
BAM.
Have a good trip! So sorry about the book
Hey I'm really sorry to hear about the computer stuff, that's absolutely awful, and something I've definitely experienced = absolutely maddening!!!
I hope you had a lovely trip back to Houston, and seeing all your friends and family!
You're coat of arms was truly fab, and I hope you're keeping well!
